VIOLA L. SELL, 80, of 3504 Hoover Ave., Altoona died, Monday, December 7, 1998 at her residence. She was born on January 31, 1918 in Fall Creek to Gustave and Ella (Pehlke) Paul. She married Walter H. Sell on March 22, 1936 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church near Foster. Viola and Walter farmed near Brackett for 39 years before moving to Eau Claire.\r\nSurvivors include a daughter Gertrude (Robert Jr.) Basacker of Eau Claire; two sons, Norman (Erlinda) of Eau Claire and Gregory of Hawkins; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Esther Vander Heiden of Elmhurst,IL; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Richard.\r\nViola was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in 1997; her parents; a sister, Delores Kleist and a brother, Walter Paul. \r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11th, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Altoona, with Pastor David Karolus officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery near Foster. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church
