Violet M. Anderson, 87, of Eau Claire, died on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Dove Healthcare West. She was born on January 8, 1924 in Eau Claire to George and Ida (Schultz) Bain. She attended school in Fall Creek, and later worked at Sacred Heart Hospital and Luther Hospital, now May Clinic Health System, in the housekeeping department. She retired from Luther Hospital in 1986. She married Elmer Kurth. They had four children. On April 28, 1973 she married Raymond E. Anderson at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Violet loved flowers, growing vegetables and nature. She loved to get together with her family. She is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Ronald (Joyce) Kurth of Eau Claire, Marilyn (Phil) Krumenauer of Chippewa Falls, Gary Kurth of Eau Claire, and Karla Towns of Lake Hallie; grandchildren, Julie Krumenauer, Robie (Wendy) Krumenauer, Laura Kurth, Brandon (Kim) Towns, Alisha Towns, Amber Kurth, and Michael Kurth; great-grandchilren, Carl and Ryan Krumenauer, Katylynn Carson, and Harper Towns. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wallace, Roy, and Marshall Bain; and daughter-in-law, Ann Kurth. A special thank you to the 2nd floor staff at Dove Healthcare West and Mayo Clinic Health System Home Health and Hospice. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 Fall St. Eau Claire, with Pastor Carlton Kangas officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
