VIOLET E. JOHNSON, age 85, of 1245 County Road F, died Saturday, March 14, 1998 at the Dove Health Care Center. She was born July 12, 1912 to Stephen and Alfreda (Rude) Harrington in Eau Claire. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1929. Violet married Bert X. Johnson at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire on July 11, 1936. She was in retail sales with Sears Roebuck and Company until her retirement in 1975. \r\nViolet was a member of Grace Lutheran Church Women Anew, the Wheaton Homemakers, and Sears Retired Employees. She enjoyed music throughout her life with playing the piano and singing. Working in her garden at home was also a source of pleasure.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Bert; a daughter, Judith (Adam) Cahow of Eau Claire; a grandson, Jim Cahow of Spooner; three granddaughters, Kirsten Cahow of Duluth, Beth Ann (Jim) Hess and Susan (Mike) Larson; a great-grandson, Michael Lemmage; and a sister, Arlene Gullickson all of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Edward Harrington. \r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery .
