VIRGINIA M. HOBART, 78, of 2912 Leslie Lane, Eau Claire, died Tuesday, April 8, 1997 at Luther Hospital. She was born June 20, 1918 in Eau Claire to John and Margaret (Berthold) Moores. On March 19, 1943 she married James Hobart in Eau Claire. Virginia worked in the office at Uniroyal for several years.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Jim; a brother, Robert (Joan) Moores; sister-in-law, Yvonne Moores, both of Eau Claire; nephews, Steven (Cindy) Moores of Eau Claire, David (Pamela) Moores of Westminster, CO; niece, Barbara (Steve) Zempel of Eau Claire; four grand nieces, Kristie and Tracy Moores of Eau Claire, Alysia and Becky Moores of Colorado; a grand nephew, Clayton of Colorado; one great grand nephew, Teagan of Eau Claire; and a very special cousin, Russell (Hazel) Holten of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and a brother James Moores.\r\nVirginia enjoyed arts and crafts and made beautiful jewelry for many friends.\r\nMemorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Derril Peabody officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to First Congregational United Church of Christ.
