Virginia M. Jentlie, 85, of Eau Claire, died peacefully Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Dove Healthcare with family at her side.\r\nShe was born in Eau Claire on April 15, 1925, a daughter of Fred and Alice (Holman) Marshall. \r\nVirginia married Garfield L. Jentlie on June 8, 1942, in the state of Washington.\r\nShe worked as a computer programmer for several Eau Claire businesses. \r\nShe was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.\r\nVirginia is survived by her four children; David (Mary) Jentlie and Sue (Lon) Helland both of Eau Claire, Chuck Jentlie and Paul (Denice) Jentlie both of Chandler, AZ; 8 grandchildren; Lisa, Matt, Melissa, Tim, Jessie, Trisha, Loren, and Andrew; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Helen (Norman) Temple of West Concord, MN; brother-in-law, Thomas (Annabel) Jentlie of Eau Claire; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Garfield; and a great grandson, Xavier Meyer.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Eau Claire with Pastor Donald Wisner officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
