Virginia E. Rogstad, 82, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Orchard Hills Assisted Living in Eau Claire. She was born in Eau Claire on January 25, 1925, the daughter of Arthur and Elsie (Zielsdorf) Elbert.\r\nShe graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1948.\r\nVirginia married Douglas V. Rogstad on August 28, 1954 in Eau Claire.\r\nIn 1943 she began her career at National Presto Industries where she was a typist until her retirement in 1976.\r\nShe was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Virginia volunteered for many years in the church office. She visited the elderly and had many friends. She loved to knit and do embroidery.\r\nVirginia is survived by her sisters-in-law, Ruby Brice of Eau Claire and Madeleine Elbert of Aurora, IL; nieces and nephews including, Greg (Kathy) Brice, Nancy Brice, and Dana (Dennis) Knudtson all of Eau Claire, Roxanne (Mike) Beisel of Madison, Amy (Paul) Copps of Downers Grove, IL, William Elbert of Eagan, MN, Stephen (Marilyn) Elbert of Aurora, IL, Paul (Christine) Elbert of St. Simons Island, GA, Janice Elbert of Chicago, and James Elbert of Victoria, British Columbia.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas in 1998; and three brothers, Werner "Bud", Raymond, and Verland "Bill" Elbert.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Sunday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving her family.\r\nThe family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorials please be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W.
