Virginia L. Wickham, 87, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire. She was born in Eau Claire on September 14, 1919 the daughter of Arthur and Mable (Blomquist) Leipnitz. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1937.\r\nVirginia L married Robert W. Wickham in Nashua, Iowa on December 30, 1938.\r\nHer children remember their many camping trips together, and following retirement Virginia and Robert spent many winters in Apache Junction, AZ. Virginia enjoyed playing Bingo while at Dove Healthcare this past year.\r\nShe was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nVirginia is survived by her five children, Sandra (LeRoy) Poppe of St. Paul, MN, James of Caldwell, OH, Janice Bluedorn of Altoona, Steven (Carol) of Kalispell, MT, and Becki Sanders of New England, ND; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; a son, Robert; grandson, Brian Bluedorn; brother Willard Leipnitz; and her sister, Lucille Sleeter-Krueger.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Monday. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving her family.\r\n \r\n
