Vivian Marguerite Koenig (nee Roth), 93 died peacefully at Our House Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls, WI, on March 9, 2007. \r\nShe was born on August 29, 1913, the daughter of Martin and Emma (Stalder) Roth in the Town of Dunn, Dunn County, Wis.\r\nVivian married Allen H. Koenig on April 17, 1947 in Stillwater, Minnesota.\r\nVivian was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years and served as financial secretary there for 20 years. \r\nShe enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint and was also an accomplished seamstress. Many family members and friends have enjoyed her beautiful handmade creations. Her greatest enjoyment however was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and helping her friends and neighbors, which earned her the WEAU TV Sunshine Award in 2001.\r\nShe is survived by her sister, Irene Baroldi of Cypress, CA; her son Allen (Cheryl) Koenig Jr. of San Francisco, CA; her daughter, Sandy (Bernie) Bleske of Chetek, WI; Four grandchildren that referred to her as "Gramcracker", Benjamin (Sara) Bleske, Carla (Matt) Loen, Mitchell (Erin) Bleske, and April (Phil) Rechek; her 10 great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; and by her two sisters, Virginia Dahler and Mabel Indermuehle. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with Pastor David K. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Downsville, WI. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
