Vivian Landauer, 91, went to her savior on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was born on September 12, 1920, a daughter of Nils and Clara (Peterson) Robbe. Vivian was the youngest of 6 siblings.She was born and raised in Strum, WI. She married Lawrence Landauer and they moved to St. Louis, MO for 10 years. They later separated and Vivian moved back to Strum in 1955. She taught in Augusta from 1956 to 1959. After the death of her son in 1959, she moved to Eau Claire. Vivian secured a job with the Eau Claire school system, teaching at Boyd and Longfellow as a remedial teacher and a 3rd grade instructor at those schools respectfully. Her talents were recognized and Vivian was promoted to Administrator, as Elementary Curriculum Coordinator, a position held for many years until her retirement in 1985. She had a passion for children, gardening, and traveling. Vivian is survived by 3 children; Jay Landauer of Eau Claire, Christy(Gregg) Eisenhardt of Pewaukee, WI and Linda (Gerald) Peretz of Scarsdale, NY. She also has 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and son,Larry Landauer, who passed away in 1959, at 14 years old. She will be terribly missed by all of her survivors. It's with love and gratitude that we celebrate her journey to heaven. The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 1005 Oxford Ave. Eau Claire with Pastor Lowell Halvorson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at West Beef River Cemetery in Strum, WI. We wish her peace and joy forever. Memorials are preferred to the family.
