Vivian A. Larson, 94, of Eau Claire, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona, WI. She was born in Decorah, IA, on November 13, 1919, a daughter of Lloyd and Cora (Lewis) Luren. Vivian was baptized and confirmed at Canoe Ridge Lutheran Church in Winneshiek County in Iowa. Vivian married Russell W. Larson on April 18, 1945, in Eau Claire. Vivian loved to garden and raised raspberries and many flowers which she enjoyed sharing with others. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire for over 50 years. Vivian is survived by her sons, Roland Larson of Eau Claire, Larry (Nancy) Larson of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Jeffrey Larson (DeAnna Lau) of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Julie (Michael) Critchfield, Margaret (Michael) Perri, Michael (Lori) Larson, Lisa (Jeff) Cain, and Christopher (Meghan) Larson; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Joseph, Rebekah, and Sarah Critchfield, Emma Perri, and Addison Cain. She is also survived by her sisters, Marlyn King of Arcadia, WI, and Lorna (Francis) Holmes of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and special cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell; her parents; and her beloved brother, Harland L. Luren. The family wishes to thank her many dear friends for their kindness over the years and also Dr. Setla and Dr. Cook and others who were so important for her care, including the staff at Oakwood Villa. Memorials are preferred to Saving Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
