WADE J. DEETZ, age 23 of 2621 30th Ave., Elk Mound, died February 5, 2000 in the town of Woodmohr, Chippewa County as a result of injuries received in a snowmobile accident. He was born in Eau Claire to Ronald and Patricia Deetz on July 28, 1976. Wade grew up on his family farm in the town of Howard near Albertville, and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School with the class of 1994. He was a member of Big Elk Creek Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include his parents, Ronald and Patricia (Carroll) Deetz; sister, Susan (Wayne) Anderson of Elk Mound; two brothers, Mike (Michelle) of Chippewa Falls and Bill (Kathy Klatt) of Elk Mound; niece and nephews, Aaron and Alex Anderson, Rachel and Adam Deetz; grandparents, Lyle and Arvilla Deetz of Eleva; step grandmother, Kathleen Carroll of Sheldon; aunts and uncles, Glenn and Judy Deetz of Mondovi, Gary and Linda, Jim and Jane, Jan and Sharon Deetz, all of Eleva, Lynn and Peggy Kolve of Eau Claire, Richard and Carmel Carroll of Crestview, FL, Chuck and Julie Garnett of Mondovi, foster uncle, Lester Jacobson of Eau Claire; Godparents, Jim and Darlene Hansen of Bloomer; many cousins and special friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Ilene Carroll.\r\nWade will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, farming and the outdoors. He also enjoyed being a member of many pit crews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Big Elk Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Hal A. Schroetter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
