Obituary

Wallace L. Nelson, 77, of Balsam Lake, formerly of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at his home. \r\nWally was born on the family farm in Buffalo County, Wisconsin on March 17, 1932, a son of Haven and Lena (Wellenrieter) Nelson. \r\nHe married Audrey J. Hehl on August 16, 1952 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. .Wally worked for Armour's Meat Packing for 27 years. He enjoyed fishing on White Ash Lake, hunting, spending time with the family and his two cats. Wally and Audrey loved spending time up at the cabin on White Ash Lake, where they retired to in 1999. \r\nWally is survived by his wife, Audrey; five children, Chris (Dale) Goshaw of Eau Claire, Vicky (Jerry) Cass of Mondovi, Wally (Tammy) of Huron, SD, Kathy (Ray) Gonsowski of Chippewa Falls and Jack (Becky) of Gering, NE; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Delores Orf, Grace (Steve) Govin, Edith (Leonard) Krall, Muriel Kolstad and Alice Lovgren; and a brother, Jim. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Roger. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, November 30, 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Tanner officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.n. until the start of ther service at the funeral home.\r\n
