Wanda "June" Duss, age 88, of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in Lebanon, Indiana. June was born on March 3, 1930, to Jack and Ola (McAllister) Standridge. She graduated from Seymour High School with the Class of 1947. June married Leo Watson in 1966 at Hurst, TX before moving to Eau Claire, WI where she started work for and retired from the Eau Claire School District. After his death in 1979, she married Marvin Duss on August 15, 1981 in Eau Claire, WI. June was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Eau Claire, WI until moving to Indiana with her daughter and son-in-law and became a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon, IN. She enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO with her family, the 508th MP Alumni Army reunion, shopping, church activities, and loving her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Marvin of Eau Claire, WI; daughters, Priscilla (Kenneth) Stanley of Lebanon, IN and Cherilyn Thompson of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son, Leslie (Cathy) Boyd of Henderson, KY; step-sons, Randy (Susan) Duss of Eau Claire, WI, Jeff (Kelly) Duss of Eau Claire, WI, Terry Duss of Tomah, WI, Butch (Wendi) Duss of Chippewa Falls, WI and Gary (Carrie) Duss of Elk Mound, WI; step-daughter, Deb (Duane) Anderson of Antigo, WI; step-son, Steven (Susan) Watson of Sault Ste Marie, MI; step-daughters, Sandra Clark of Decatur, MI, and Sally Charboneau of Austin, TX; 32 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Floyd and Jack; sister, Pearl; step-son, Palmer; and step-daughter, Sue. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018, at the WEST CHAPEL location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, with Pastor Dennis Nelson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery, near Spooner, WI.
