Wayne C. Brantner, age 70 of Eau Claire, died on September 5, 2012, at the Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire. He was born in Durand, WI, on November 29, 1941, to Leo and Bernadine (Prissel) Brantner. Wayne spent much of his time as an avid hunter, carpenter, lumberjack and bird watcher. He was also a very loyal Brewer and Packer fan. He was loved by many friends and enjoyed spending time with his dog Jake, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shelley; and brothers, Larry and Bert. He is survived by his wife, Sharyn; son, Tim Brantner; granddaughter, Braanna; brother, Allan (Sandy); son-in-law, Tony Pavelski; first wife, Helen Brock; step-children, Kimberly & Tim; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Family and Friends are welcome to celebrate Wayne's life at Elk Lake Tavern following the service.
