Weldon "Lee" Whitehead, 49, passed away unexpectedly January 21, 2007, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.\r\nHe was born August 23, 1957, in Tyler, TX, the son of Eugene and Evelyn (Franklin) Whitehead. \r\nLee's hobbies consisted of arts and crafts, playing various board, dice, and card games; and playing practical jokes on friends.\r\nLee will always be remembered as a very loving and giving person. He took pride in everything he did.\r\nHe is survived by his partner Charlie Williamson of Eau Claire; his stepfather, Dale Phelps of Cloquet, MN; four brothers, Jim, Edward, Robert, and Ralph; and his aunt Beatrice Yanda of Cloquet, MN; \r\nLee was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Amy Odgren officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.\r\n
