William T. Brown, 58, of Eau Claire, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. William (Bill) was born on August 4, 1954, in Eau Claire, WI. He was a life-long resident of Eau Claire. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1972. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire in 1977. He worked as a chemist for Uniroyal Tire Co., here in Eau Claire. Bill loved the outdoors. He spent as much time as possible at his family's cottage on Island Lake. He was a wonderful companion and caregiver for his mother in recent years, prior to her passing away in September, 2012. Bill is survived by his sister, Anne E. Brown (Carl Brown), and his nephew, Mitchell C. Brown, both of Eau Claire. He is also survived by his uncle, William Norris; aunt, Alberta Schooley; and cousins and their families. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Brown; and his mother, Lillian M. Brown. Burial will be at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 Broadway St. in Eau Claire with Rev. Dr. Mark X. Pirazzini officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The family requests memorials to First Congregational United Church of Christ.
