WILLIAM B. DEAN, 79, of 613 Putnam St., died Monday, February 23, 1998 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born November 8, 1918 in the Town of Hale, Trempealeau Cty, to Barney and Louise (Edinger) Dean. William married Evangeline Lehrke in Whitehall,WI on November 11, 1939. They farmed in the Town of Hale and then moved to Eau Claire where William drove Taxi for 30 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. \r\nSurvivors include his wife, Evangeline; two sons, William Jr., Spooner and Dennis (Janet), Kenosha; four daughters, Eva (Gene) Rebarchek, Whitehall, Diane (Jim) Skutley, Fall Creek, Peggy (Rick) Geroux and Patti (Jerry) Hoehn both of Eau Claire; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth (Floyd) Arneson, Taylor; three brothers, Lawrence (Doris), Mpls,MN, Donald (Marlyn), Elk Mound and James of Whitehall.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lester and Clarence; a granddaughter, Heidi and a grandson, Steven.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Wagner Cemetery, Town of Hale. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of services, Friday at the funeral home.
