William "Bill" F. Nelson, 93, of Fall Creek and formerly of Eau Claire died Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born April 30, 1908 to William O. and Alvina (Fenske) Nelson in Rice Lake. William married Myrtle B. Olsvig on June 7, 1930 in Taylors Falls, MN. He worked as a tire builder at Uniroyal Tire Company for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1973.\r\nSurvivors include two sons, William V.(Gerd) of Bloomington, MN, and Frederick L. (Dolores) of Madison; two daughters, Janet (Gorden) Field of Eau Claire and Sheri Murphy of Waukesha; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; seven step great-great-grand-children; five sisters-in-law, Eleanor (Les) Hanson of Cameron, Edna Smith of Eau Claire, Evelyn (Ken) Jayne of Arlington Heights, IL; Violet Sass of Sister Bay, and Elizabeth Olsvig of Cameron; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle in 1996; two brothers, Harold C. Nelson and Earl J. Nelson; and two sisters, Elsie M. Gardner and Audrey Mae Case.\r\nFuneral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2002 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, with Pastor Lowell Bolstad officiating.Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the funeral home.\r\n
