Obituary

William Eugene Tarbox, 69, of Eau Claire, died on May 5, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital.\r\nHe was born March 7, 1940, in Eau Claire, the son of the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Shock) Tarbox. \r\nWilliam married Mary L. Loveland on February 10, 1962, at Immaculate Conception Church in Eau Claire.\r\nHe was employed by the Northern Wisconsin Center in Chippewa Falls for 31 years, and Sacred Heart Hospital for 22 years.\r\nHis favorite birds were the Robins he looked forward to seeing each spring. They followed him around the yard as he gardened and watered. His favorite flower was the Peony. He said it had the best scent. He enjoyed our Shih Tzu, Kwan. He was a firm believer in taking care of the people and property that God had blessed him with. Bill was a hard-working and conscientious man a good husband and father.\r\nBill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary; three sons, Jeffrey, of Eau Claire, Peter, of San Antonio, TX, and Paul, of Eau Claire; two grandchildren, Nathan and Nicole; four brothers, Gary (Beverly), Mike (Joyce), John, and Joseph (Ruth); two sisters, Patricia Lawton-Wilson (Leonard) and Sharon (Joe) Kuhlman; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.\r\nHe is preceded in death by his parents.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2009, at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire with Father Brian Konopa celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass on Friday at the church.\r\n
