Wilma C. Dewitz, age 85, died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Wilma was born April 3, 1929, in Buffalo County, a daughter of Clarence and Anna (Marczinke) Rud. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the Class of 1946. Wilma married Ervin Dewitz on October 25, 1952, at Grace Lutheran Church. Wilma retired from the Eau Claire County Courthouse after 25 years of service. Wilma was an avid bowler for over forty years. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend, Bill Germann, especially to Mardi Gras for over twenty years Wilma is survived by her son, Eugene (Toni) Dewitz of Fall Creek; two grandchildren, Jesse Dewitz of Fall Creek and Jennifer (Kevin) Stark of Madison; one great granddaughter, Natalie Stark; her special friend, Bill Germann of Eau Claire; and a special niece, Jeanne Anderson of Minneapolis. Wilma is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; three brothers, Harlan, Everett, and Dean Rud; and one sister Evelyn Pabst. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1804 Highland Ave. Eau Claire with Pastor Nate Aaseng officiating. Visitation will be one hour and a half prior to the service at church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Rest Haven Cemetery. Town of Washington.
