WINIFRED J. BRUDEN, of 3520 Chippewa River Dr., died Sunday, June 18, 2000 at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on November 8, 1918 in Eau Claire to George and Anna (Pederson) Voss.\r\nWinifred married Philip O. Bruden at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire on September 9, 1950. She was church secretary at Grace Lutheran Church and then was school secretary at Black and Mckinley Elementary Schools for many years until her retirement in 1984. \r\nShe enjoyed the many hours on the Chippewa River, in the company of friends and family. Picnicking on the boat and watching the kids swim and play in the river waters.\r\nWinifred is survived by a brother, Gerald Voss of Eau Claire; two sisters, Frances Anglim of Portland, OR, and Virginia Golisch of Eau Claire; two sisters-in-law, Winnifred C. Bruden and Gloria Newman both of Golden Valley, MN; many nieces and nephews including Anita (Dale) Reid of Eau Claire; and David Voss of Eau Claire\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Philip in 1988.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Kent L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Grace Lutheran Church Music Fund or the Eau Claire School District Special Olympics.
