Audrey Totten Obituary

Audrey Marie Totten, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018, at Dove West Health Care Center in Eau Claire, WI. She was born in Eau Claire, on December 20, 1932, to the late Thomas and Hazel (Everson) Carlson. She graduated from Eau Claire High School. After graduation from high school, she met the love of her life, Albert E. Totten, and they were united in marriage in April of 1953 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. From this marriage they had two lovely daughters, Debra Totten Olsen and Sharon Totten Candelaria. Mr. Totten was in the military and together, along with their two daughters, they resided in different states and in Germany. After Mr. Totten’s retirement they resided in Fallon, NV until his death. At which time Audrey moved back to her hometown here in Eau Claire, WI. Audrey was a very special lady. She was always there to lend a helping hand to others. She was employed at the Jr. College and the DAV in Vallejo, CA, and at the nursing home in Fallon, NV. Her faith meant a lot to her and she was active in church functions in Fallon until her health started to fail. Audrey loved doing crafts and was a beautiful seamstress. She also loved cooking and baking. Chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies was her specialty. She would always have cookies and milk ready for the grandkids when they stopped after school. She made new friends during her stay at Dove, and of all the activities, she loved playing Bingo the best. She was a lucky lady and managed to win several of the games that were played at the home. Audrey is a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She is survived by her sisters: Shirley Christopherson, Mary (Jan) Link, and Lois Pichler all of Eau Claire; one brother, James Carlson of Eau Claire; cousin, William Everson of Mequon, WI; her grandchildren: Ralina (Richard) Arrington of Eau Claire, Holly Neal of Fallon, NV., Alisha (Josh) Wilder of Sparks, NV., Justin (Ashley) Candelaria of Burleson, TX, Jake (Natalie) Olsen Ferndale, WA; great-grandchildren; Audrey, Taylor and Tyler Arrington, Wiley Neal, Beretta Rose Wilder, and Addyson Grey Candelaria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hazel Carlson; husband, Albert E. Totten; daughters, Debra Olsen and Sharon Candelaria; and brothers, Donald and George Carlson. A memorial service for Audrey will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the West Chapel of Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N.
