Beverley Ann (Erickson) Briggs, 91, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away peacefully to her Lord on April 1, 2024 at her home.
Beverley was born February 24, 1933 in Eleva, WI, to Peter and Anna Erickson the youngest of 4 children.
Beverley met A. Duane (Sam) Briggs at Russell Dairy in Eau Claire where she worked the ice cream counter and soda fountain. They were married in Eau Claire on Sept 21, 1952. Bev and Sam raised seven children, 5 boys and 2 girls.
Sam and Bev founded Sam's Auto Supply in 1966 where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years. The business was sold to their three eldest sons in January 1991 upon their retirement.
Bev and Sam enjoyed traveling, visiting 23 countries and also several U.S. states while serving as wagon masters for Sun City RV Club. Winters for several years were spent in Arizona until moving there permanently for 15 years. Bev and Sam moved back to Eau Claire to be near family in 2014.
Bev was proud of the family they raised and also enjoyed playing cards, spending time with their many friends and as a clown club member, dressing as ' clem ' the clown making many visits to brighten the day of others.
Bev is survived by her 4 sons and 2 daughters, Ann (Robert) McDougall, John (Linda) Briggs, Jerry (Jeanne) Briggs, Roger (Penny) Briggs, Mary (Scott) Atkins, Donald Briggs, numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, A. Duane (Sam) Briggs; son, Allen Briggs; brothers, Ronald, Paul and Donald Erickson.
A celebration of life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at WEST CHAPEL - Lenmark - Gomsrud - Linn Funeral and Cremation Services, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, with Pastor Nick Henseler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A light lunch to be served following the service. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Eau Claire.
