Doris Veronica (Spaeth) Heiman

Doris Veronica (Spaeth) Heiman of Eau Claire, WI, left her earthly body on October 8, 2023, at Mayo Hospital, surrounded by her four children and their spouses. She was 85 years young.

Doris was born in Stratford, WI, on March 10, 1938, the daughter of Eleanore and Roman Spaeth. On June 15, 1957, Doris married Dean Arthur Heiman, her one true partner in life, and became a homemaker. They were members of St. Patrick Parish. Doris remained involved in the church community throughout her life.

Her life was full of love and laughs. There were many trips up to the lake, taking bike rides through town, participating in church community events, and long road trips with Dean across the US. Doris spent time with siblings, friends and family. She loved her family, country music, playing cards, coffee in the morning, a fresh harvest from the garden, whipping up a batch of her signature made-from-scratch muffins and a big bowl of popcorn.

She will be missed dearly. Her 5 grandkids and 6 great grandkids are especially forever grateful for the memories they have of their "Grandma Pool." She was the grandmother of a lifetime.

Doris is survived by her children, Peggy (Bob) Irving, Sandy (Steve) Meinholz, Dee (Mike) Brescia and John (Randy) Heiman; her siblings, John (Doris), Carol, Peggy (Jack). Doris was predeceased in death by her parents, Roman and Eleanore Spaeth; her siblings, Roger, Norbert, Arla, and Marvin; and her one and only husband, Dean Heiman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am, Thursday October 19, 2023, at St. Patrick Parish, 316 Fulton Street, Eau Claire, with Father Antony Joseph officiating. Visitation will start at 10am up until the time of Mass with Rosary at 11:10am at the Church. Inurnment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington, with a gathering to follow, location to be determined.
