Dorothy Kumferman Obituary

Dorothy I. Kumferman, 83, of Eau Claire, died Friday, May 29, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Dorothy was born in Eau Claire on August 25, 1931, a daughter of Lawrence and Vivian (Best) Faast. She married Henry “Hank” Kumferman on December 1, 1949, in Eau Claire. Dorothy enjoyed her free time making and decorating cakes for her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Steven (Linda) and Larry (Susan) Kumferman both of Eau Claire; daughter, Jami (Mike Peterson) Kewin of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Dan) Cameron of Eau Claire; brother, Donald Faast of Stevens Point; and also by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hank on April 25, 2014; brother, Paul Faast. In honoring Dorothy`s wishes, no services will be held. Dorothy`s family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Oak Gardens Place Senior Living for the care Dorothy was provided during her stay. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is serving her family.
