Glenn Emil Voss, age 97, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 6, 2024 after complications from Covid.
Glenn was born on December 19, 1926 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Minnie and Emil Voss. He graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire after which time he enrolled in the U.S. Navy and served for two years. He is a 75 year survivor of World War II. In 1946 Glenn met Patricia Mae Kelley, the love of his life, and they were married on January 17, 1948. They were married 66 years until her death in 2014.
Glenn Voss lived his entire life in Eau Claire where he worked in the parts department and served as manager many years at Wood Motor, Ken Vance Motor, and Marquardt Motors. In his retirement he delivered parts for NAPA.
Glenn enjoyed anything cars, trucks and motorcycles. He enjoyed bowling, roller-skating, camping and riding motorcycles with his wife Pat.
Glenn may have been the kindest most giving man in the world and will be missed by so many. He is survived by his son, Terry Voss; daughter-in-law, Mary (Koller) Voss and their children Coleman and Caroline; daughter, Patricia (Voss) Pritchard; son-in-law Mike and their family; children of his daughter Kelley; Brandi, Nikki, Christopher and Michael and their families, grandson Ron Powell, and many great grandchildren.
Glenn Emil Voss was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, daughters Kathleen and Kelley as well as his parents.
A celebration of life will take place in July at the Forest Hills Cemetery.
