JEANETTE STURGIS , 75, formerly of Eau Claire, died Saturday, July 8, 1995 at the Bethel Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Arpin, Wisconsin.\r\nShe was born January 15, 1920 in Eau Claire to James and Mary (Eschler) Gerber. \r\nJeanette was employed by Land -O-Lakes Company in Eau Claire for many years.\r\nSurvivors include her four children, Ethel (James) Legge of Auburndale, George (Eileen) Sturgis of Eau Claire, Rev. Larry (Anita) Sturgis of Bruce, Elaine Sturgis of Lancaster; two sisters, Marion Mai of Racine,Julia Peterson of St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Thomas (Donna) Gerber and John (Arlene) Gerber both of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.\r\nShe was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodean Randen in 1972; three brothers, Casper, James, and Byron; three sisters, Hattie, Emiline, and Elizabeth.\r\nFuneral services will be at 10:00 A. M. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel , with Pastor Barbara A. Koch officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.\r\n
