Joseph Wade Johnson

Joseph Wade Johnson, 59, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 in Menomonie (Cedar Falls), Wisconsin. He was born on September 20, 1963 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to parents George R. Johnson and Merna J. (Woodmansee) Johnson. He was baptized into the Christian Faith at First Lutheran Church on October 13, 1963 and was confirmed there in 1980. He attended Memorial High School in Eau Claire and graduated in 1985. Following graduation, he spent some years working at the Development and Training Center in Eau Claire.

He is survived by his brother Jeffrey (Susan) Johnson, his sister Jennie (Bill) Stewart, his brother Steven (Kim) Johnson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Merna Johnson.

Joe was blessed with wonderful care through the years. The family would like to thank all of those Individuals who had a part in helping Joe day-to-day, especially Steve and Debbie Desjarlais-Eau Claire, Spring of Life-Knapp, and Linden House-Cedar Falls.

Funeral services for Joe will take place on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairmont Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54703 with a visitation one hour prior to services. Joe will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetery next to his parents following a luncheon.
