Marceleen Lou Brenner (Polhamus), 87, of Eau Claire died November 2 peacefully in her sleep at Care Partners Memory Care in Eau Claire.
Marceleen was born March 7, 1936, to Clifford and Josephine (Zais) Polhamus of Eau Claire, and was raised in the Eau Claire area. She graduated from Central High School in 1954. Marceleen married John Brenner on October, 15, 1960, and they remained married until John’s death.
Marceleen worked at Fleming’s Jewelry and then at the dental practices of Dr. Robert E. Lee and then Dr. Joseph Shama where she remained employed until retirement. Marceleen enjoyed spending her spare time with family and friends and doing volunteer work at her church and a local food pantry. Marceleen and John also enjoyed going to the area casinos for an occasional evening out and enjoyed the fish fries at local churches and restaurants.
Marceleen is survived by her sons, Steven Brenner of Maple Grove, MN and Jeffrey Brenner of Eau Claire, daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Bill) of Eau Claire, three grandsons Zane, Wyatt, and Luke Johnson of Eau Claire and a great grandson Toby Johnson of Eau Claire.
Marceleen was preceded in death by her husband, John Brenner of Eau Claire and brother Clifford (Bud) Polhamus of Sparta, Wisconsin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00am at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with a visitation one hour prior. Marceleen will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
