Margaret Diane (Kubina) Reichenbach, age 86, of Eau Claire, died on February 24th, 2021, at Grace Woodlands Assisted Living Facility, Eau Claire, after a courageous battle of Alzheimer's.
Margaret was born on April 15th, 1934 in Snow Creek, near Black River Falls, Wisconsin to John and Helen (Halverson) Kubina. She grew up on a farm as well as working at her family's gas station with cabins. Margaret graduated Black River Falls High School in 1952. After graduation she worked closely with nurses and doctors at the local clinic where she enjoyed the experiences that made her a nurse at heart for the remainder of her life. In 1955, Margaret married Keith Reichenbach and soon began her career as a "Wardens Wife" taking phone calls, selling licenses, registering deer and even assisting Keith in catching violators. They lived in Trempealeau, Chilton, Jefferson, and Oshkosh before moving to Eau Claire after retirement to be closer to their children. During retirement, they spent their winters enjoying the Arizona Desert leading many excursions and tag-a-longs. They traveled throughout the US and internationally. Margaret was a true homemaker and crafter, always looking for a new thrill from ceramics, sewing, paper-tole, scrap books to needle work. Dear to Margaret were the important annual Jellystone camping trips with grandkids that continued into the grandkid's adult lives.
Survivors include daughter, Cindy (Mike) Retzloff of Durand; son, Mark (Sharon) Reichenbach, of Mendota Heights, MN; grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica) Reichenbach; Lisa (Micheal) Persons; Julie Retzloff and Jordyn Reichenbach; great-granddaughter, Analeigh Reichenbach; step great-grandson Ian Wright; great-granddaughter, Lilian Persons and great-grandson, James Persons; sisters, Ann (Harold) Malm, and Kay (Jake) Jacobs; and brother, Rick Kubina.
