Nancy D. Roach, 68, of Eau Claire died April 25, 2024 at Mayo Health Systems after a short illness.
Nancy was born on August 26, 1955, the daughter of John and Betty Roach. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1973. She started working at Urheim Pharmacy her senior year of high school. Though the pharmacy went through name changes over the years, she continued working there for 44 years. She retired from Mayo Pharmacy in 2017, when her rheumatoid arthritis made it impossible to continue working.
Nancy was blessed with a beautiful singing voice, and sang in the choir at Saint James Catholic Church for many years. She sang for numerous family, friend, and church weddings as well as funerals. She loved singing at the Roach family Saint Patrick's Day parties and family reunions. She was also a member of the Liturgy Committee at Saint James, helping to plan many women's retreats and other events.
Nancy is survived by her sisters, Karen (Pete) Schwingle, Ginnie (Mark) Ryder, Gloria (Gary) Pabst, and brother, Allan Roach. She was a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Roach.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 2 at 11:00 at Saint James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th Street, Eau Claire, with Father Tom Krieg officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 at the church. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, 4100 S. Hastings Way, Eau Claire following the service. A luncheon will follow at the church.
