Rosanne "Rosie" Catherine (Hagmann) Hartung

Rosanne Catherine Hartung was born at Luther Hospital on August 17th, 1951 to Richard & Rose (Carroll) Hagmann in Eau Claire, WI. After Rosanne graduated from Immaculate Conception Elementary (1965) and Regis Catholic High School (1969), she went on to study nursing and worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in the admitting station (1969-1977).

Rosanne met Bernard James Hartung (deceased) at Sacred Heart when he would come in for physical therapy. The two married on October 28th, 1972 and raised 7 children together: Linda Spoehr (Paul) and Lori Hartung (2 nieces) and Charles Hartung, Catherine Hartung (Dean Willam), Theresa Hartung (Dustin Schmidt), Kelly Hartung and Patrick Hartung (Laura). They also were blessed with 12 grandchildren: Sky and Vincent Willam, Anthony, Breanna and Nathon Stanford, Nathaniel Schmidt, Chandler and Aftyn Copeland, Lucy, Hazel, Ralph and Josie Hartung.

Rosanne was an extremely dynamic woman who impacted anyone that had the pleasure of working with her or getting to know her. She began volunteering at Locust Lane School (1991-1995) in various areas eventually working as the playground monitor (1996-1997). She migrated over to adult crossing guard for the Eau Claire School District where she cared for the safety of children while they made their way to and from school since 1997 (Lakeshore, Northwoods & Sam Davey Elementary). Many of the former kids she helped cross the busy streets still remember her and would frequently come back to visit. They all know her as "Rosie".

With Rosanne's active life she was involved in many organizations as a volunteer:
Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary #10, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #305, American Legion Auxiliary #53, Military Order of the Purple Heart Auxiliary #550, Hallie Optimist Club. She was a lifelong active parishioner of Immaculate Conception Parish and enjoyed her time as one of the choir members in previous years.

Memorials are preferred to the family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rosanne on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in eau Claire with Father Francis Thadathil officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 3 until 7 PM at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services, 814 First Avenue, Eau Claire and for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, WI, at a later date. Online condolences for Rosanne's family may be left at www.lenmarkfh.com.
