Ryan Todd Stensgaard

Ryan Todd Stensgaard was born November 11, 1985, at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Illinois. He passed away suddenly at his home in Eau Claire Wisconsin on January 12, 2023, with his mom by his side after a long term battle with kidney failure. He is preceded in death by his father, Todd Stensgaard, and his grandfather Roy Landem. He is survived by his mother Patricia Wolf, his grandmother, Rita Landem, his grandmother Janet Stensgaard, and his three loving sisters Allison, Lauren, and Kristen, and his loving nieces Shanelle, Shianne, Sienna, and Kedzie, and his loving nephews Devin, Addison, and Kennedy, along with his aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Ryan will be remembered as a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had a way with people that made you feel at home whenever you were around him. He loved all sports, football, hockey, and basketball. But without a doubt he was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He had a great speaking voice and would have made a great sports announcer or Preacher. After graduating high school, Ryan continued his education while working in sales which led him to researching legal contracts and the law for various companies. We will remember the good family times we all had with Ryan. He loved family holidays, spending time with family and enjoyed home cooked meals, Italian and Norwegian style. He loved his mom, he loved his sisters, and he loved his dear nieces and nephews, and grandparents. The fun wholesome good times with Ryan are etched in our minds forever. Recently, Ryan shared in a written letter to his Grandmother Rita that he was saved. He said he trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Because of that, we can be comforted knowing his never dying soul is in Heaven. He knew that because of the marvelous grace, mercy, and forgiveness of God. Little did he know that one month later he would take his last breath here on earth, and his first breath in Heaven for all eternity. Praise the Lord. We all love you.

A memorial open house is scheduled for Saturday February 4 th , 2023, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. atJimmy's Charhouse, 2290 Point Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60123.
