William H. (Bill) Arnsdorf, age 89, passed away on October 17, 2023.
He was born on July 27, 1934 in Eau Claire, WI to William F. and Laura (Arneson) Arnsdorf.
He graduated from E.C. High School in 1953 and attended Vocational School. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1956 to 1958 with the First Corp. Artillery Headquarters Eighth army.
Bill married Clarice Larson on April 11, 1959 at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church. In 1964 he was hired to develop and direct a UWEC campus-owned bookstore, in which he served until he retired in 1990. He was then employed for several years as an advertising salesman.
Bill enjoyed watching sports and was the official scorekeeper for the UWEC basketball team; a position that he held for 47 years, scoring over 1000 games. He enjoyed nature, both working in and watching the wildlife in his backyard.
He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church, where he ushered and served on several boards. He was now a member of Saving Grace Lutheran Church.
Bill was a very active member of Masonic Lodge 347 and received the highest honor of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, the 33rd degree for outstanding service to freemasonry. He helped establish the E.C. Mason Angel Fund which helps needy school children in the E.C. area.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Clarice Arnsdorf; his two sons, Curt and Kyle Arnsdorf; and grandson, Adam.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Floyd Arnsdorf.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 1:00PM at Lakeview Cemetery with Pastor David Irgens officiating.
