Yvonne Mae (Bushendorf) Champion

Yvonne Mae Champion, 83, of Eau Claire, WI passed away at Lake Hallie Memory Care in Chippewa Falls, WI on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

She was born to Clifford E. Sr. and Amanda (Knudtson) Bushendorf on October 12, 1940, in Eau Claire, WI.

She married her high school sweetheart, Gary E. Champion on February 7, 1959, in Eau Claire, WI. Together they raised their family while Gary served in the United States Air Force.

She was a member of the Truax Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed baking and cooking.

Yvonne is survived by two sons: Gregory (Jonelle Wittman) Champion and Kevin (Kristina) Champion; four grandchildren, Christopher (Katie), Nicholas (Becca), Joshua and Justin; five great grandchildren, Caleb, Karli, Cameron, Piper and Max; two brothers, Clifford Jr. (Janet) Bushendorf and Donald (Darlene) Bushendorf; three sisters, Lois (Lyle) Pederson, Shirley (Lamoine) Hehl and Joan (Donald) Gutsch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; son, Mark and two sisters, Marion Bedient and Joyce Bushendorf.

Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Truax Congregational United Church of Christ, 1008 South 50th St. in Eau Claire, WI, with Rev. Les Munnick officiating. Visitation will be from 10am up until the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
