Evelyn McIlquham, age 98, died on Friday, November 14, 2014, at the Rutledge Home in Chippewa Falls, WI. She was born on April 21, 1916, the daughter of Charles and Mary Crober in the city of Oshkosh, WI. After attending school in Sparta, she found employment in the home of Bill and Elsie McIlquham, in the town of Anson, where she met her husband Walter Scott McIlquham. They were married March 20, 1935, until the death of her husband on April 1, 1990. Together they raised a family of seven children on a farm in Eagle Point. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Evelyn enjoyed talking about the Bible’s promise of the whole earth becoming a paradise. Evelyn is survived by one son, Steven (Lynn) McIlquham of Sandwich, IL; four daughters, Lois (Douglas) Paul of Eau Claire, Loretta (Marshall) Olkowski and Patricia (James) Shaub of Madison, WI, and Carol (Robert) Coffen of Riverside, CA; 11 grandchildren; also many great and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Scott; and two sons, Robert McIlquham and Gary McIlquham. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3400 Horlacher Lane, Eau Claire.
