Jesse J Gagnon

Jesse Jeremiah Gagnon, 26, of Eau Claire, born on June 6, 1988, went to Heaven on April 19, 2015. The name Jesse means “gift giver” and he gave everything he had, heart and soul, to others. The outpouring of love from the lives that he touched is a testament to the great human being that he was. Jesse grew up in Eau Claire and attended Eau Claire Schools. His greatest joys growing up were spending time at his Grandpa Joe’s farm and fishing. He was a very successful and knowledgeable fisherman and his dream was to someday own a charter fishing boat business and share his love of this great sport with others. He had many different types of employment as he made his way through the learning processes of life and no matter where he worked, he was loved and admired. One of Jesse’s greatest gifts was that he was an amazing joke teller. He was so funny and he brightened many a life. No matter how sad, he could bring you up. What a gift!! He wouldn’t have wanted any of us to be sad at this time, so please be strong for him. Jesse married Jenny Ricklard on December 18, 2008. They later divorced but from this union came a beautiful daughter, Analeza. He is also survived by his father, Jim Gagnon; mother, Paula Phillips; sisters, Traci Gagnon of Charlotte, NC, and Kelly Gagnon of Maple Grove, MN; paternal grandmother, Monica Gagnon and maternal grandmother, Marion Phillips; one niece, Lily Gagnon; many cousins; and also a plethora of aunts and uncles from his parent’s large families; Wes Flynn and TJ Nikolich, both of Eau Claire, whom Jesse considered “his two brothers from another mother”; and very special friend, Patience Gavin; and his beloved dog, Duke Nukem. There are so many other special friends just too numerous to mention, but know you are thought of and remembered. He was preceded in death by his grandpas, Dr. J.E. Phillips and James E. Gagnon; and an uncle, David Gagnon. A Celebration of Jesse’s life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Memorials will be used to establish a trust for Jesse’s daughter, Analeza.
