Lois R. Skoug, 89, of Eau Claire, WI, died on August 2, 2017, at Syverson Lutheran Home, Eau Claire, WI. She was born in Eau Claire, WI, on October 23, 1927, a daughter of Raymond and Marguerite “Betty” (Bowman) Rasmussen. Lois married Vern Skoug at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire on September 10, 1950. They had one son, Larry. He married Kathy Dooley, and they had three children, Tracie, Michael, and Nicholas. Lois has worked as an optical technician for Medical Eye Clinic in Eau Claire. Lois was a member of First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Lois is survived by her son, Larry (Kathy); grandchildren, Tracie (Justin Paugh), Michael (Jessin), and Nicholas; four great-grandchildren, Leilah Szmanda, Tayvin, Breckin and Cruz Skoug; sister-in-law, Shirley Rasmussen and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern in 2014; her parents; brothers, Glen and Gerald “Jerry” Rasmussen; brothers-in-law, Roger (Evi), Eugene (Dorothy), and Raymond (Rose) Skoug; and sisters-in-law, Marcella Peterson and Muriel (Lavern) Crapser. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting her family. Memorials may be directed to Mayo Clinic Home Health & Hospice, 1221 Whipple Street, Eau Claire, WI, 54703. A heartfelt gratitude to dear friend, Nancy Eggen for being there when you were needed. A Special blessings and thanks to Nikki, Sandy, and Becca – her special angels who spent many hours with Lois. You were always there when she and our family needed you and will always have a place in our hearts. Thank you also to Mayo Hospice and other caregivers, how amazing you all are.
