Martin Monson Obituary

Martin R. “Marty” Monson, age 58, of Eau Claire, WI, died Friday, June 26, 2015 at The Clairemont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eau Claire after he was diagnosed with cancer. Marty was born December 26, 1956 in Eau Claire, WI to Rudolph and Rose (Zurek) Monson. He was a 1975 graduate of North High School in Eau Claire. Marty was in the restaurant business for many years and also worked at Huebsch Laundry. Marty enjoyed baking and had a rose garden he took care of diligently. He was a big packer fan and loved to play cards. When he was younger, he played cards with his sister (War) and would “stack the deck.” Marty is survived by his sister, Debbie Monson of Eau Claire; his brother, Rod (Laura) Monson of Eau Claire; nieces and nephews, Andrea Short, Stephanie Edwards, Brandon (Janae) Lynch and Desaree (Jesse) Patino. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Rose Monson
