Nancy R. Parr

Nancy R. (Kilness) Parr, age 66, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Dove Healthcare West. She was born on July 10, 1948, in Mondovi, WI, to Norman and Betty (Rose) Kilness. Nancy graduated from Gilmanton High School. She worked for 14 years at Menards in Eau Claire in Accounts Payable, then as a Sales Representative at Midwest Manufacturing, and most recently for Badger Company & Liquor until retiring in February of 2015. Nancy was an avid bowler for many years until having knee surgery. Although she didn’t bowl, she continued to watch and support her daughters’ bowling activities. For many years she looked forward to a girls outing to Country Fest that was always full of fun and laughter. Nancy was very proud of her family. Her granddaughters have, and always will be, one of her greatest joys. She couldn’t stop talking about them and their accomplishments. She loved spending time with them and watching them succeed and grow in the many sports they played. Nancy is survived by her children, Cathy (Greg) Rosolack and Linda (Rick) Thompson; and grandchildren, Brooke and Bailey Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St. in Eau Claire, with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Pastor Mike Wollman will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, 2519 N. Hillcrest Parkway Suite 100, Altoona, WI 54720-2589.
