Susan D. Sturgal

Susan D. (Bye) Sturgal, 52, Eleva, died peacefully at Dove Healthcare West, on Friday, March 14, 2014. Susan was born in November 1961, to Harold and the late Elizabeth (Tewes) Bye in Wausau, WI. Susan married Edward Sturgal on August 20, 1994. Susan graduated from University of Minnesota in 2006 with a degree in Retail Merchandising. She had a successful career in a variety of retail settings before taking her favorite job at Markquart Motors where she worked, alongside her husband, as the Internet Sales Manager. Susan welcomed their extra time together. Susan loved rescuing shelter dogs, gardening, scrapbooking, and baking endless Christmas cookies each year. Susan is survived by her husband, Edward; her stepdaughters, Tracey of Milwaukee and Lesley of Eau Claire; her grandchildren, Mitchell and Jaymie; her father, Harold Bye of Wausau; and her sister, Mary (Robert) Kersten of Wausau. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Christ Church Cathedral, 510 S. Farwell Street, Eau Claire. Burial Office will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, at the church. Urn Entombment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Eau Claire Humane Society Association would be greatly appreciated, 3900 Old Town Hall Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
