William "Bill" Krenz

William “Bill” Gustov Krenz, age 69, of Eau Claire, WI died Wednesday, October 5th, 2016 in his home from complications of bile duct cancer, with family by his side. Bill was born March 1, 1947 in Eau Claire to Alex and Dorothy (Nelker) Krenz. Bill was a 1965 graduate of North High School where he excelled in academics and football. After High School, Bill attended UWEC for two years before enlisting with the US Marine Corp. Bill served his country proudly and was discharged with honors. Bill married Sheila Johnson in 1975 and had three children, Marisa, Amber and Jon. Bill spent the majority of his working career with Northwest Fabrics in the print shop, even following them to North Carolina for many years. Bill was such a kind and gentle person, who loved being outside and enjoying nature while on his daily walks. Bill also loved spending time with his many friends. He had a great sense of humor, the best laugh and the kindest heart. Bill will be sadly missed by his good friends, especially those he shared time with at the Joynt. Bill is survived by one daughter, Marisa (Mark) Anderson of Eau Claire; one son, Jon Krenz of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Sam Anderson; one sister, Nancy (Steven) Hendler of AZ. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Dorothy (Nelker) Krenz; one daughter, Amber Star Krenz and one brother, David Krenz. Per Bill’s wishes, no public services will be held. The family of Bill’s would like to say “thank you” for the truly wonderful friends that came into Bill’s life.
